Addons...
Hey,
check out WoW Guru or Curse
Gaming's Addons page to find some cool ways to customise your
World of Warcraft playing experience!
Required
addons:
Group
Calendar is a required addon for the guild, it allows
us to coordinate RAIDs on a weekly basis quickly and easily.
to download it, Personal Message an Officer on the forums with
any questions.
A
tutorial on how to set the addon up is available here.
Here
are some mods that I would recommend for everyone:
- Nurfed
UI - A total interface conversion, does many, many things!
I wouldn't be caught playing World of Warcraft without it, so
check it out. Some versions of Nurfed may already have some of
the other mods listed below in it.
- Scrolling
Combat Text - Displays your damage as well as the damage that
you take in a scrolling animation over your head. Critical hits
get posted for longer periods of time so you can see them easier.
It's useful because you can clear your screen of the combat text
window and use this instead. Nurfed already has this built in,
so don't download it if you have Nurfed.
- Atlas
- A map of the game's instances, finally!
- Map
Coordinants - A coordinants system for the map in World of
Warcraft. Helps you figure out exactly where something is. Nurfed
already has this built in, so don't download it if you have Nurfed.
- ItemsMatrix
- A database of items that creates itself by scanning every item
that you see in game. It lets you link items that you don't have
in your inventory into text, and also has an inventory manager
that shows all of your bags in one window. It's alot like lootlink,
but I like this mod better because it is fully compatable with
Auctioneer, so if you have auctioneer it automatically embeds
itself in the auctioneer data window.
- CT-Mod
- A large collection of mods that have alot of really cool features.
- CT-Raid
Assist - A great mod that can be downloaded separately from
CT-Mod, it shows the targets of main-tanks in raids, displays
a warning when Raid Boses are casting heals or powerful attacks,
and has many other useful features.
- Auctioneer
- Adds a new button to the Auction House window, labeled "Scan",
which scans and remembers all auction data (high prices, low prices,
buyoutprices, etc.). This allows the mod to tell you exactly what
you should be charging for a given item. It also tells you how
much an NPC vendor give you for items.
Remember,
there are ALOT of addons out there, these are just the basics that
I wouldn't recommend going without. The "WoW Addons" board
in our forums has
user-posted addons suggestions, you'll find some other really useful
addons in there.
