I definitely agree with UltraDavid on that point, but I'll take it a step further; I don't feel the least bit iffy saying that it's the most balanced fighting game ever.  I'm not saying that there aren't other contenders, but SSF4AEv2012 is just an incredibly solid game overall and is unquestionably, at the very least, a contender for that title.

He starts off showcasing Dan as an example that even he is actually a really good character.  I've thought of Dan as a very solid, "real" character for quite some time, and he's a perfect example of how balanced the game actually is.  After Dan, he goes over several other "low tier" characters that are actually quite good: from DeeJay to T.Hawk to Evil Ryu, to Rose, etc.  Perhaps most shocking is some of what Hakan can do-- I had no idea that he could cancel his focus attack AND his dash with a normal when oiled up O_o

In a game as balanced as this, with such a small gap between tiers, even "low tier" characters are a threat-- they aren't really "low tier" at all compared to how that term applies to most other games.
