The third LP from this incredible band does not fail to keep to the same level, if not a higher one than the last two. No two tracks are alike on the album, yet it still manages to stay unified as a solidly Birthday Massacre album.
Lyrics: 8
Vocals: 9
Instrumentals:9
Replay Value: 9
Overall: 9
Summary: Chibi (the vocalist) takes some chances on this album and uses a bunch of different styles, which makes for a nice contrast. The album is full of great songs, none are subpar, but some stand out exceptionally.

Kill the Lights:
The first song on the album is possibly my favourite (possibly because i've been listening to it for almost a year now). The vocals and instrumentals are all very solid and just an all round great song.

Now you know it's so much better to pretend
There's something waiting for you here
Every letter that you wrote
Has found its way to me my dear
You can make believe that what you say
Is what I want to hear

I'll keep dancing through this beautiful,
delusional career.
Faking every tear
Looking like a comprimise suicide
Keeping all my dreams alive

Goodnight:
Another incredible song with really cool instrumental blending of synth and guitars.

A lack of discipline
One hand to cut the other
So unprofessional
You're not a friend
You're just a lover
Nothing exceptional
This is correctional

Red Stars:
This song starts out with a riff that is surprisingly heavy for TBM, it quickly turns soft and switches between the two throughout the song. Also has some great lines.

Wasted education
Celebrating immitation
Misplaced admiration
Speaking for a generation

Remember Me & To Die For:
Just a note on these songs, they are rerecodings of two songs off previous albums, but they do something new with them which makes them very listenable.

Walking With Strangers:
This is my favorite song at the moment, great lyrics, great instrumentals, great vocals, and great music all around.

Look around for a means to dissuade her attention.
Can't remember the places or names that she mentions.
My words are falling apart in spite of me.
I'm stepping out of the light so she can't see.

Don't think I'll miss her,
but I want to take her picture,
when I've found a place where she can't find me.

And she's falling asleep as she's walking with strangers.
Talking cheap as the flies on the wall entertain her.
Her world is falling apart in front of me.
She's stepping into the light, but she can't see.

It's hard to miss her,
when she's posing for a picture,
but I've found a place where she can't find me.

Weekend:
This song goes back to the darker style TBM has used on previous albums, blending slightly morbid lyrics with synth and light vocals.

Lights out
Boys sleepwalking on the weekend
Black out
Two nights killing off a best friend

Fall out
Like soldiers walking off the deep end
Hands out
Don’t stop marching till the hearts rend

So overall this album is definatly worth checking out, one of my favourites at the moment.

P.S. Will feel free to edit in your own oppinions if you feel the want.
P.P.S. If the review seems slightly odd it was written after drinking two red bulls and trying to review and listen to parts of the new nightwish album at the same time, so lots of things slightly distracting right now.

first one is excellent too, i got all the original versions of the songs when you could buy the mp3s for 6 bucks from them... i might buy the rerelease just to have it (nothing and nowhere btw)
