So recently, a relative of mine posted on
his blog about how he was ashamed that, upon earning a first class seat, he didn't give it to his wife. There was this whole thing about how it wasn't gentlemanly, etc. Needless to say, that threw me in a fit of rage and hence, my first rant in months was born.
Women can earn their own first class seats just like men can.
If my girlfriend earned a first class seat and I didn't, and she was tired, I would not be in any way mad if she took the seat. She earned it and she wanted it. People would say that was nice of me and no one would think my girlfriend was being "selfish".
However, had I requested that my girlfriend give me the seat, people's reaction would be that I need to man up and let her keep her earnings, and rightfully so.
Now, for some reason, if you switch the genders and make it how your situation is [with the man having earned the seat], suddenly people think you're being "ungentlemanly", and it's totally acceptable for the woman to get mad at you for taking the seat, which YOU EARNED...
People are fucking retarded. So let me get this straight... man earns seat: woman should have the seat. Woman earns seat: woman should have the seat. Either way, the man gets screwed over, and this is what we call "being a gentleman"?
Okay, fine, let's give women everything all the time no matter what, because it's "gentlemanly"... but they'll have to give up their right to vote and the only professions available to them will be the astute positions of "Professional Sandwich-maker" or "Chief Fellatio-caretaker".
LOL, HEY GUYS I WANT WOMEN TO BE TREATED EQUAL BUT I DON'T THINK WOMEN SHOULD BE DRAFTED INTO THE ARMY BECAUSE THEY HAVE VAGINAS AND VAGINAS ARE LESS BULLET PROOF THAN PENISES, LOLOLOLOLOL.
I am 100% for equal rights for women, but "feminists" who claim that women should have "equal rights" by getting all of the positives and none of the negatives don't seem to understand that that isn't equal at all.
All of these cries for chivalry should be what "feminists" are really ashamed of, as the very act of requesting such treatment is demeaning to women.
A perfectly rational decision like the one you made [to keep your first class seat and not give it to your wife] should not be in any way scrutinized. The fact that you even felt the need to make this blog shows just how much pseudo-feminists have indoctrinated society into a mindset that is anything but equal.
You have to take the good with the bad, you don't get everything for free just because you have a vagina.
