The Mortal Share

This song was on a demo disc for a magazine, and it caught my attention instantly.
Nachtmystium are known for moving away from black metal because "It's too cliquey", an interesting sentiment to say the least.
The riffing in this song is neat, it kinda has blackmetal tone and pitch, but in patterns more expected of a metalcore band.
One of my favorite things about the song is where there is a repeating riff, and the drums completely change the feel of it without the riff changing, its very enjoyable musicianship.

No dice so far on lyrics, though they aren't too hard to pick out.

Without further ado, Nachtmystium - Ghosts of Grace, released on the 2008 album Assasins: Black Meddle pt 1

Interesting progression for a black metal band, good to see the boundaries are being broken, the genre is very stale and cliquey, I agree with him.

Still not my cup of tea, but it sounds like a good direction to be taking this kind of music, plus yeah that drum change up was pretty cool.

ps I made this just a link so it doesn't show bewbiez on the front page.
