I just saw Ill Nino in Concert, and they were good, as expected.  They played a lot of old stuff (If you still hate me, I am Loco, Liar, What Comes Around, Unreal) and some new stuff (This is War, Corazon of Mine, etc.), and put on a great show overall.  Perhaps the most entertaining part was when the band's drummer insulted the lead singer (all in good fun).  In retaliation, during the next song, the front man started to tear the symbols off of his drum kit during the song so he couldn't play properly, it was really funny Smiley

The bands (Ekotren and Droid in addition to Ill Nino) played great and the songs were all very enjoyable. Ill Nino's "If You Still Hate Me" inspired some moshing by yours truly, which was fun as always.  There's nothing like moshing to a song that you really connect with.  Good times all around.

The band Droid also performed, and the front man actually got out and did an entire song while moshing with the guys in the pit.  He took an elbow to the face at one point, and congratulated "whoever just hit me with an elbow, because I'm not different than you and I should be getting hit if I'm in the pit too", which I thought was very noble of him.

A new band called Ekotren surprised me and the party that I was with, playing some diverse selections and performing extremely well and energetic.  Vocals and screams, and a keyboard player that did backup screams to contrast the main vocalist.  I grabbed the CD (which had just been released as of the show, apparently) for $10, which was a steal.  I also got to chat for a bit with the band members, which was neat.  I wished them the best and thanked them for putting on a great show, and they thanked me for buying the CD and commented on how they liked my Bleeding Through t-shirt.  Check out some of their music: http://www.ekotren.com/music.htm

Overall it was a great concert, made more enjoyable by the fact that the venue was very small, only about 200 people at max, probably less.  So I was literally like 5 feet away from Ill Nino when they performed.
