deep breath...

FIREFLY IS THE GREATEST SCI FI SHOW EVER OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I WANT TO HAVE ITS BABIES SO THERE ARE MORE OF ITS AND SERENITY IS THE MOST FUCKING INCREDIBLE SCI FI MOVIE EVER OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGWAFFLES

that is all

HAHAHAHAHAHA!  That was awesome Yoggi.  Anyways........I KNO RITE?!!!!!!  I BORROWED MY FRIEND'S BOX SET AND WATCHED ALL OF IN MAYBE 2 OR 3 DAYS!!  I would have watched it in one sitting but school, food, and sleep hindered me from doing so. Serenity was pretty good but ZOMG THE SERIES WAS WAY AWESOMER.
i watched serenity first, then the series so i got the bigger oomph factor with serenity. also, you are obviously not a champion, i watched the entire first season of how i met your mother (22 episodes) not just in one day, but in one sitting (6 pm to 4 am WOOT!) then i reallized i hadnt downloaded the second season yet and kicked my self in the balls for being so stupid

yoggi how do you feel about How I Met Your Mother now? I thought the first 2 seasons were amazing, 2nd better than the first. Now I think the show is in decline, leaning too heavily on Barney for the comedy (not saying he isn't funny, but the show is leaning mostly on him right now). Also, I swear to god if they don't introduce the mother soon I am going down to CBS to hurt somebody.

Oh yeah and I am the winner, I watched all of season 2 and 3 of the office in one sitting (well aside from going to obtain food, but that was done while watching still)

Haha I did that with the office but I didn't have anything to do. It was during this summer.  Firefly was during my sophomore yr of college.  I still cared about my grades back then.

Yes you should, I think Firefly is much better (maybe because it's so much longer). Me and some friends used to get together with a bucket of chicken and watch it on sundays. Man those were some awesome times.

Also, Serenity mostly focuses on the girl.  Or that's how it felt like to me.  The show was everyone as a whole almost.  But it's been a while....

aliens and super evil leagues of ultimate evil villains of evilness fit into supernatural for me. I haven't watched firefly so excuse me but, I don't understand how a "space western" isn't supernatural. U might say sci-fi but no, if its a mixture of space and western genres then only a retarded wizard from bizzaro land could have made that possible...so supernatural. Yeh I understand why angel is called angel and his history, its lame. it would be like me making a show and having a character named dog, becuase he used to be a dog. but got bitten by a cat and turned into on. Unfortunately dog regrets his time as a cat when a gypsy dog returns his dogmanity to him. We all know what dogs do when they have centuries of guilt and sadness on their shoulders. That's right, they become detective. The original show was called fluffy the cat murderer. The spinoff is simply called dog.

Besides stargate sg 1 blows all that crap out of the water lol. Your lying if you say anything different hahaha.

Touche sir.  I guess I don't usually use supernatural and paranormal synonymously and they apparently are.  I still stand that Angel and Buffy were both good shows, maybe not the later seasons since most shows decline in their "awesomeness".  How many episodes of each shows have you seen?

And Stargate SG1 is another amazing series, except I never really saw the episodes after MacGyver left.  I got interested in the series after I saw the movie.  I liked the whole alternate dimensions through a portal stuff.  Heh, I enjoyed Sliders too and Quantum Leap (although I know this was time travel and into a different body)

Quantum Leap... Damn I remember that I used to wait for holidays when Sci-fi would play like 30 episodes in a row.... how did this thread go from children of men to sci-fi nostalgia???

i watch it as much for all the character development and such as for the funnies. i love ted, partly because im a hopeless romantic too. The final episode of S1 is by far the best, but the last few episodes of S4 have been really really really really good

haha thank you for humouring me. I've seen a buttload of buffy. My cousin lived with my family for awhile, so i subjected to alot of it. I checked out a few episodes of each of the other shows. I don't watch much tv anymore(more on that in a minute), but when i do i just watch whatever is showing when i turn the tv on, thats mainly how i found those shows lol. I used to watch lots of tv, well to clarify i watched lots of arrested development and king of the hill. Now both are canceled and i watch next to zero tv lol. My friend had SG 1 on dvd so we used to go party, get drunk then afterwords watch lots of it lol. That partly the reason i like it so much probably lol.
