Yeah that's high, Gam.  Did you get your heatsink seated on there?  It takes a bit of force.

I went out and got some CPU Thermal Grease (for like, $5), so I'm gonna put some of that in there and see how it goes after.

Make sure you clean off whatever existing thermal paste there is on it.

1. Thermal paste is annoying as shit to clean off of hands.

2. The was a little bit of splotchy paste on there, dunno if that was the issue, maybe?

3. The fan is on there tight now

4. Hoping this works

Well I loaded up LoL to watch temperatures, been loaded up for about 15 minutes, temps rose to around 70 degrees, but they're sitting relatively steady now. Highest I've noticed was around 74.

Hopefully this keeps up, thanks for all the help everyone!

The first time I opened the tube it hit my thumb, from there it now covers four fingers and one palm.

Fucking shit just keeps spreading.

Played full LoL game, temps never went redic mode on me, happy days are here at last, it seems.

if it starts overheating again open the case up and generously dust everything inside with crushed ice and dried wood chips. it works like a charm
