 Zombieland This movie was fucking EPIC!! It was soo good! I saw it Thursday night because Chesterfield Mall had a premier showing and Gamestop had some free tickets so my co-workers grabbed me one. It was hilarious and the actors were good. ESPECIALLY Woody Harrelson. If you guys like zombies and comedic horror like Shawn of the Dead, then you might like it. |

does Woody's character remind anyone of Mickey from Natural Born Killers? seems from the promos that he kind of just transferred the character over. dont get me wrong, NBK is one of my favorite movies of all time, but killing zombies instead of fat store clerks and Rodney Dangerfield?!

I saw this last night with some friends, and it was great. There was an amazing cameo that I am not going to spoil, because it is just that good. This movie reminded me of Shawn of the Dead, it focused more on the comic elements rather than the horror. It still had some gore/shock value but it was really about the characters. I don't know that I would say it is as good as Shawn of the Dead but it definitely was great and I would happily recommend it to any of you/ go see it with you. I still don't get it. lol.
I'm not exactly sure why, but zombie movies are the only horror/gore type movies I like. I think it is because I have spent a long time trying to figure out how the disease would work from a logistical standpoint. Also, because of thinking about it from the logical side, it is the one I could most understand actually occurring. Now don't misunderstand me I don't think it is actually going to happen, but I have thought out scenarios that make sense from a medical standpoint (It takes a some leaps) . So it's scare factor for me comes from probability rather than some axe wielding maniac who has made a deal with the devil and the scare comes from seeing him graphically eviscerate people. That being said, I wish for more high quality psychological thrillers like Seven and Saw (the first one ONLY). After the first Saw it became a gore fest. Every scene was a game of Mouse Trap that ended with someone dying in a horrifying way. |

realism, yea ill give you that 28 days later has it the best, but not nearly as fun a movie to watch as other zombie flicks

This movie was exactly what I hoped it would be, an awesome comedy that focused more on fun than realism.
Shaun of the Dead was good for the most part, but it suddenly decided towards the end that it would become all sad and semi-realistic. Sure its hard to make a movie climax without some drama, but there's no reason you can't keep it funny, especially if its a comedy.
28 days later was bitchin.
28 weeks later was OK at best, but I really liked the scene were Don is sprinting across the farmland from the converging zombies as the house and the survivors inside are overrun. Awesome emotionally charged/realistic scene. I get goosebumps thinking about it. DOOOON!
