I love the CA gameplay style, it's so spaced and distanced and all that and you have to stick close by or you get annihilated.  200HP and 100 Armor lasts a long time if you use it right, but it can also go away almost instantly if the team coordinates correctly.  Good stuff.

I dunno bout the matchmaking system somedays...

I joined a Clan Arena game the other day which was 3v3, and holy fuck 2 of the people on the other team were just nailing me constantly with rail guns from a good distance out.

I mean sure I could get into a groove every few rounds and run up 5 rail gun hits in a row, and got a "double kill" one game, but fuck they were just constantly outshooting me across the map, and if it ever got close with rockets I was never able to hold my own 1v1.  It seems like a good amount of people "play down" in games, just so they get matched against people like me who don't know the maps for shit.

I have been accused of aimbotting more times that I can count with the railgun, and I'm still in tier 3.  I think certain weapons just confuse people more than others and so someone being really good with a gun they aren't as good with makes it seem like that person is a lot better because they have no way to combat it, I dunno.

I mean, people play down on occasion, I know, but I am pretty sure you can't play down "too far" because I have heard some people say that they can't join games because they are too low.

I dunno, they'll probably revamp the ranking system several times in the course of the game's development, I'm not really worried about it and it doesn't happen all that often.

Meh, I know it happened in Halo 3 a lot, people would make new profiles and deliberately keep their ranking reallly low so they could play in "Basic Training,"  where pretty much every person is trying to figure out what a headshot is and different guns are just amazingly foreign.

The Railgun especially is a very "easy" gun to learn.  There isn't much to it, just point and shoot and do a lot of damage.  It functions like a basic sniper without the stupid camper aspect of it (mostly due to QL itself).  None of the guns really seem complex, but some people just seemed wayyyy too good at shooting across the map under a bridge through a window and hitting people to be legitimate 3 levels.  Of course, after making that post, I joined a TDM game that was halfway through the 15 minute time limit, and ended #1 on my team at 25-12.  I think I was #1 in the game for ratio too, but I didn't check since we lost and I was tired.
