Two Tongues = Say Anything + Saves the Day
This complilation / side project featuring two members of Say Anything and two members of Saves the Day came out on February 3rd.  I'm very sorry to say that I have only recently acquired it.  Say Anything is very top 10 for me, so I have been very much looking forward to this.

From what I have heard so far it seems pretty epic, albeit not quite as epic as Say Anything's previous work.  Admittedly, I don't know much about Saves the Day, but from what I have heard of their singer on this disc they seem pretty good.  Initially, I'd have rather just listened to Max Bemis of Say Anything, but after hearing this album, I think I'll have to go check out some Saves the Day-- which I guess was the point of this release Tongue

Two Tongues sounds grittier and less produced than the Say Anything albums.  The dual singers definitely have synergy, and in some ways I feel that this is a sort of further exploration of the theme that Max had going on In Defense of the Genre, where he had a guest singer on every single track of the album.  Stylistically it's very similar, but has enough unique flare to stand on its own.  Also, I can't find it listed anywhere, but I'm pretty sure that the track "Interlude" features vocals from Stacy Lynn DuPree of Eisley.

Overall this feels like a very fun little side project and a nice extra dose of Max Bemis for me until a new Say Anything record comes out that I can go ga-ga over.

Get Two Tongues on Amazon MP3.

I don't know anything about either bands. But I actually enjoyed this a lot.  I really liked the beginning part of the song and then around the 2:00 mark too.  I wouldn't mind listening to more of the first singer that came on.

That's Max from Say Anything and he's AMAZING!-- I still need to give you their stuff Tongue  I have some links to it in the In Defense of the Genre link in this post.
