DJ Moo - Frozen Air Remix / Akira Yamaoka and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn - Room of Angel

While both versions are good, I was particularly drawn to the remix, which I heard on the Vocal Trance / Dance portion of D I G I T A L L Y  I M P O R T E D on Winamp's Shoutcast internet radio, which I listen to from time to time for a good dose of techno.

The whole mix is an enjoyable ~72 minutes long, but I've been specifically addicted to the last ~5 minutes of this mix for a while now, mostly because it has some unusually vindictive lyrics for a trance/dance techno song.

Last ~5 minutes of the DJ Moo - Frozen Air remix:

Feel free to check out DJ Moo's other work via his File Front account.

The lyrics / vocals from the remix come from the Silent Hill 4 soundtrack, on a song called "Room of Angel".  The song was written / composed by popular video game composer Akira Yamaoka with vocals done by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.

The Original Version from Silent Hill 4's Soundtrack:
Small | Large

The lyrics are a dark look at an apparently failed relationship between a mother and daughter.  Read them here.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy Smiley

Can't sleep, bleh.

That wasn't bad.  I prefer a bit more layering, though.  More bomf bomf bomf and uhntsch untsch untsch and psch psch psch and whatnot.  And Vocals are another layer and they make me happpiiiieeesss.  Weeeeee complexity.

I'd give it another listen, it took another to grow on me-- the whole mix is pretty decent, but I agree that it is nowhere NEAR as good as that specific part.
