As a genre I find dubstep to be somewhat lacking, but it's in its infancy, so I cut it slack. Regardless of the repetition or lack of creativity in some of it, some songs are just plain BRILLIANT! This song was in the parkour video that Oograx recently linked and it's been stuck in my head ever since

Compared to pretty much every other genre that is pretty young, and it's only recently become known to most people.

Lol. Its been around for awhile. The crowd in terms of a numerical number has roughly been the same. Its kind of a genre that people get into then turn to an alternative. Once those people switch, a new wave comes in; its only really became 'popular' because of the current generation has made it semi-mainstream (e.g., Skrillex, Dr. P etc.,). So impregnate me and i'll cream your coffee.

dubstep is supposed to be something you feel as much as hear. Due to youtube scaling quality for reasons of streaming, anything less then 720p does not do dubstep justice. You also need killer earphones of a massively retarded speaker setup to feel all the low ends. I`m much more into progressive then house, so here`s a link to some progressive trance dubstep (term overload)
If you like dubstep and dislike house as much as I do, you might want to check out some of it`s founding roots called jungle. good sample (but not the best quality upload) can be found at
. It also has good visuals.
