StepBrothers - HOLY CRAP WILL FERRELL IS FUNNY AGAIN!
So after the recent horrid fail at hilarity that was Semi-Pro, Will Ferrell has once again made a gem with the movie StepBrothers.  The basic idea is that 2 guys who are near 40 (Will Ferrell and John Reilly, hooray Taladega Nights team) and still live with their parents are forced to live together when their parents hit it off at a conference.  They find out about each other in one of the weirdest pre-sex scenes I've ever seen.  Neither son is very happy about the news, and both storm off during the wedding.

While tensions are high at first, the now step-brothers are forced to putup with each other, regardless of whether balls get rubbed on drums or not.  The turning moment seems to be when Derrick shows up, the ultra-successful brother who has always overshadowed his younger sibling.  Finding themselves united against a common enemy for the first time, the two unlikely step-brothers find they have more in common than they thought.  In a completely reasonable response to Derreck invading their clubhouse, he gets squarely in the face.  This kicks off a happy and fun time for the two of them, though the same could not be said for their parents, who can't agree on what to do about their jobless kids.

While things are destined to take a turn for the worse, I won't ruin the few heart-wrenchingly hilarious twists that continue to make this movie a comedy gem.  I'll admit the idea is mildly "cheap," taking a previously successful team of comics and placing them together again, but they sure don't disappoint.  Let's just hope this trend doesn't continue.

"Hey, let's make a new comedy!"

"What about?"

"Uh, guys who met randomly in a bar?"

"That doesn't sound funny though...."

"Don't worry, we'll get Will Ferrell and John Reilly!"

"Oh shit!  Cut it, print it, let's produce that shit!"

I'd heard a lot about this movie before I watched it, hearing numerous people randomly saying things like "Boats and Hos!" or "He better not come up on me or I'll drop his ass!"  I assumed this was just some random hype, like Napolean Dynamite was (sorry fanbois, that movie was pretty terrible), but came out being pleasantly surprised.  The whole movie is full of laughs (starts somewhat slow, but picks up rather quickly), and I very much enjoyed the experience.

So what am I saying?  If you have friends and you have time, definitely go and see this movie.  This movie is absolutely not a family flick, but it is a good laugh for a group of guys who have a few free hours to kill.  Included is a clip of the music video the brothers produce to try and help their first grand scheme, and is where "boats and hos" came from in the movie.

Side Panels?!

I pretty much pushed my envelope by resizing a pic and floating it to the left at the same time.

lol, it's easy, just click "modify" on the movies side panel post and type the name of the post and make it a link to the post itself.

Code:
[url=www.linktothepost.com]Name of the Post[/url]

but yeah, good job with the floating image Smiley

I had to go and look all that shit up to figure out how to do it.

Then I spent a few minutes with the preview button before I found out the super secret.
