Or watch this abridged video made for the song:
Small | Large

This song is simply amazing. Some parts intricately blending excellent acoustic melodies, winding around and making for some absolutely beautiful music. This song also features the best riff ever. While there is a melodic run over it, at 0:55 you get this absolute roar of raw guitar sound, making for the most insanely simple, yet heavy riff ever.

The vocals are something else on this song, group harmonies for the small lyrical parts that feel - as the title would imply - wavelike. There are a few high pitched and unsettling wails, but they do not take away from the artistic value of the song. While the lyrics are limited, they are still very poetic.

I'm going to just let this one speak for itself. If you enjoy this song, go download or buy "Ashes Against The Grain", it is a wonderful album.

Aurora swims in the ether
Emerald fire scars the night sky
Amber streams from Sol
Are not unlike the waves of the sea
Nor the endless horizon of ice
Aurora swims in the ether
Emerald fire paints the twilight
Heidrun bleeds the golden nectar
For the raising sun and the moon
The midnight wolves who watch over the dawn
Solstafir!!!

This song is total ownage-- the album is awesome, too!  Sowilo Rune is a tough contender for 1st place against this song, imo.  But yeah, check these guys out, people-- it's good stuff.  Yoggers introduced me to this a while back and it is utter sex.

Sowilo rune is a much different song, so i don't really compare the two. BTW, go look up woods of ypres, they're really awesome.

I read but don't comment cause they just aren't my style of music. Not a big fan of the real heavy stuff. Hardest stuff I listen to is a little Black Sabbath and Metallica.

if you read and give one song a listen you may as well at least say you don't like it.
