New Bleed the Sky CD this Summer
Bleed the Sky is a fantastical band that I found out about a few years ago by mistake, while searching for Reveille's album (also called "Bleed the Sky").
The band's first CD, Paradigm in Entropy (
see my review of it here), was an astonishing album for a first release, and helped me remember why I liked metalcore. In the presence of increasingly stale efforts from longtime metalcore bands like Chimaira, Bleed the Sky was a breath of fresh air. Paradigm in Entropy was very strong, both lyrically and musically, and had amazing replay value.
This summer, Bleed the Sky is releasing their second studio album, Murder the Dance, which features 12 tracks total, including two throwbacks to the first album; a sequel to "Killtank", entitled "Killtank Pt. 2 (I Killed Him), and an accoustic version of "The Martyr". I've always loved Bleed the Sky's lyrics, and judging by the fact that the new album has a track called "
Christians Are Enslaved to a Book", I'm guessing that the new material won't disappoint!
I'm stoked, you should be too. Look for
Bleed the Sky - Murder the Dance this summer, and buy it!
